RESPONSIBILITY CODE OF CONDUCT AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT
By entering the ice arena, all skaters, participants, and spectators agree to the following responsibilities:
• Helmets are recommended for all skaters at ALL TIMES.
• Parents/guardians must keep their children within sight and under supervision at all times; do not leave children unattended.
• Maintain control of your speed, direction, and movements at all times. Do not skate in groups or stop where you may block others.
• Follow all posted signs, warnings, and instructions from arena staff.
• Closed-toe shoes or ice skates must be worn at all times—no bare feet, socks, or sandals.
• Ice skate blades are sharp; keep hands off the ice and floor to prevent injury.
• No running inside the arena.
• Stay alert and watch for other skaters, obstacles, and changing ice conditions. Report hazards to staff.
• Know your personal skating ability and stay within your limits during ALL sessions.
• Skating while under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or other impairing substances is prohibited.
• Exit the ice during resurfacing and keep doorways and dasher boards clear. Look for oncoming skaters before entering the rink.
• No food or beverages are allowed on the ice or near the ice surface.
• Do not pick up, carry children or objects while skating.
• Avoid any behavior that could cause harm to yourself or others.
• Do not throw or leave objects on the ice.
• Refrain from altercations with other skaters or spectators.
• No Pets allowed on the Ice.
Hockey Specific Assumption of Risk:
By participating in skating or hockey, individuals acknowledge and accept the inherent risks involved, including but not limited to:
• Injuries resulting from collisions or contact with other skaters.
• Injuries caused by falls.
• Injuries from flying pucks, objects, or contact with rink structures.
• Changing ice conditions due to temperature, weather, or heavy use.
• Full protective equipment is required for all hockey activities, including Stick & Puck, Rat Hockey, and lessons.
